Sunflower meal is a by-product obtained in the production of vegetable oils, after pressing and extraction of oilseeds. Pressing is the process by which oil is squeezed out of sunflower seeds. And extraction is the release of residual oil after pressing the seeds with organic solvents. As a result, in the meal after pressing, the residual oil is at the level of 4%, crude protein at the level of 35-36%, amino acids and methionine, which favorably affects the growth and development of young animals.
